Brielle, an historic fortress town with one of the best-preserved fortifications in the Netherlands. As far as we are concerned, a must-visit! You'll find more than 400 monuments situated here, all with an indelible history - "on April 1 (1572), Alva lost his Bri(e)l. But there is more: historic buildings, shops, galleries, restaurants, museums, a bustling harbour and access to Lake Briel. Ideal for cycling and hiking from our hotel and only 15 minutes away.
